Critical-thinking games, hands-on activities, and mathematical conversations make this class fun and engaging. Developing number sense will be the key focus as whole number operations, problem-solving strategies, and mental math are taught. Students will become more flexible thinkers who are comfortable with numbers, able to make connections, and able to compute accurately and efficiently thus preparing them for the advanced mathematical concepts taught in intermediate school.
