Canterbury’s dedicated school counselors — Anna Effenberg, MA, RMHCI, Evonne Clapper, M.A., LMHC-QS, RPT and Alex Judge, MSW — support the social, emotional, and character development of every student.

Each division at Canterbury is supported by a dedicated full-time school counselor who focuses on nurturing students’ social and emotional growth. Our counselors provide a wide range of services, including individual and small group counseling; classroom lessons; and programming that promotes character development, social skills, and overall wellness. They collaborate closely with teachers to weave meaningful, teachable moments into the classroom and advisory experience through Core Value activities and other character-building initiatives. In addition, counselors partner with families by offering one-on-one consultations, referrals, and parent education opportunities throughout the year.
