For Entering 7th, 8th, or 9th Grade Students
 The Robert J. Fawcett Scouting Scholarship was established for students entering Canterbury School in the 7th, 8th, or 9th grades who are currently participating in a local Scouts of America program and have demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence and student leadership. This scholarship is a need-based merit award and the application is available on the Canterbury website. To be eligible to compete in this program, parents must electronically submit the Parents’ Financial Aid Application (PFAA) to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. A link to the PFAA is available on our website under the Financial Aid page. Current sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students must be participating in a local Scouts of America program, meet certain academic requirements, demonstrate leadership qualities, and take a qualifying test at Canterbury School on: 

TBD, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 
OR 
TBD, 2020 from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. 

Those who perform well on this test, and who have submitted school records prior to the test, will be invited to spend a day on campus and interview with the Canterbury School Admission Committee at a mutually convenient time and date. 
Recipients of this award, “Robert J. Fawcett Scholars,” will receive a need-based scholarship to Canterbury. Involvement and continuing participation in a local Scouts of America program, a satisfactory grade point average, and student leadership must be maintained to renew the scholarship for each of the years in attendance at Canterbury. 
To apply, please contact the Canterbury School admission office at 239-415-8945. Once you receive your instructions, please complete and submit: 
1. The online application with a recent photo 
2. Copy of previous year’s final report card 
3. Copy of most recent report card 
4. Copy of most recent standardized testing results (stanines and/or percentiles) 
5. Student Questionnaire and signed Records Release form 
6. Math & English Teacher Recommendation forms 
7. Letter of recommendation from one of your current Scout leaders 
8. Parents’ Financial Aid Application must be submitted online to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment by TBD 
9. Copy of signed 2018 Federal Income Tax Return Forms uploaded to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment by TBD
