Canterbury School is pleased to announce after-school classes designed to spark creativity, foster new interests, and provide a safe, engaging environment for students in Pre-K3 through eighth grade.
Spring Enrichments
Registration opens Wednesday, January 21, at 6:00 p.m.
Programs will begin the week of February. Please note that our Volleyball enrichment will start in March. All program fees include materials and extended day care before the program start time (students enrolled in Guitar will need to bring their own instrument). If a student stays in the Extended Day Program after enrichment ends, a flat fee of $10 will apply.
Students will explore painting, drawing, 3D design, and more. This program encourages imagination, creativity, and growth as an artist.
Students explore how scientists search for life beyond Earth. They will learn to use microscopes, explore probes and sample collectors, build planet models, and launch water rockets.
Learn comedy and improv skills through games, skits, and performance sketches. The focus is on being yourself, collaborating with others, and having fun while building confidence for the stage and beyond.
Learn the guitar or expand your skills with Mr. Ken Puls. Two sessions are offered: one for beginners with little to no prior experience, and one for returning guitar students. Students must bring their own appropriately sized instrument.
A fun and active enrichment program where students discover why running is great for both physical and mental health. Participants will enjoy relays and team challenges while gaining an introduction to cross country and track and field. Students will also learn about hydration, nutrition, and sleep, along with key values such as teamwork, health, and confidence.
A fun, hands-on class where students explore nature through games, stories, and outdoor discoveries. Students build curiosity, creativity, and a love for the natural world.
A literacy-based enrichment for first and second graders that builds reading fluency, expression, and comprehension through Reader’s Theater. Students read from scripts (no memorization) as they bring stories to life using voice, facial expressions, and simple movement.
Get ready to get your hands dirty in the best way. Mr. Percivall invites 4th graders to explore clay through fun, hands-on projects. Students will learn pinch pots, coil building, slab construction, and glazing while developing creativity and fine motor skills.
Young learners will develop soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting through imaginative games, while practicing teamwork and sportsmanship.
Soccer Shots teaches fundamental soccer skills through imaginative games while emphasizing teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. Every session builds character alongside fitness and skill development.
Let your child's imagination soar in our Stories and Art enrichment program! Each week, young learners will dive into a delightful storybook adventure, followed by a hands-on art project inspired by the tale. Through storytelling, children will develop early literacy skills, spark their creativity, and make meaningful connections between literature and visual expression. This program blends language, art, and fun in a way that's perfect for curious minds.
