    Registration for all summer programs is available beginning Saturday, March 13, at 10:00 a.m., on the Canterbury website at For additional information, please contact Rita Salgado, Director of Summer Programs, or our Summer Programs staff at or 239-481-4323 ext. 208. You can choose to pay-in-full or a monthly payment option. The monthly payment option details are 25% initial payment at the time of registration and the 25% auto-payment on March 20, April 20, and May 20.


    Drop-off and pick-up are program-specific and will be indicated in the detailed welcome email for each camp. Summer Programs 'headquarters’ will be in the Hanno Dining Hall, on the eastern side of the Canterbury Campus. Please enter the Lower School driveway off College Parkway and proceed to the dining hall. Individual programs will be held throughout the Canterbury campus, as well as off-campus. Transportation is provided to and from all off-campus programs.

    Please know that we may amend these procedures as new information becomes available. We will notify our families in advance of any changes.
    • Similar to last summer, face coverings will be optional for campers.
    • Staff members who are vaccinated will not be required to wear face coverings, regardless of whether they are indoors or outdoors. Staff members who are unvaccinated will be required to wear face coverings indoors, during travel, and during camp activities when social distancing is not possible.
    • Campers should bring their own refillable water bottles, snacks, and lunch from home. They will eat with their small groups.
    • Campers will take part in regular handwashing as many of our classrooms have handwashing stations.
    • During camp activities, we will space campers with as much distance as possible, but ask parents to recognize that distancing six feet is not always possible or practical. Parents should understand that while participating in activities or playing, campers may have close contact with others.
    • If a program requires travel by bus, campers will be given their own bus seat and the windows will be kept open.
    Campers will not be allowed to attend our programs if they have any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours:

    • Fever (>100.4)
    • Sore throat
    • Cough
    • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
    • Headache
    • Fatigue
    • Loss of taste and/or smell
    • Chills
    Please also keep your child home if anyone in your household or a close contact has been instructed to quarantine or is awaiting test results for COVID-19.

    Early Morning drop-off is available from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. each day for an additional fee of $35 per week. ($9.00 per day drop-in) Late Afternoon pick-up from 4:00-5:00 p.m. daily is also available for $35 per week. ($9.00 drop-in)
    Drop-off and pick-up should take place within 15 minutes of program start and end times, or extended day drop-in rates will automatically apply and will be charged to your summer programs account.

    Please pack lunch, refillable water bottles, and snacks each day. Lunch is between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. The option to purchase lunch will not be available. Half-day program attendees will need to bring a packed snack and refillable water bottle.

    Summer Programs at Canterbury are “Electronics Free Zones”. Phones/tablets/laptops are not allowed to be used in classrooms, on fields, in common areas, or anywhere on campus except 1) with instructor permission for specific programs or 2) to call a parent with Summer Programs staff permission. Electronics must always be stowed away, including during our Extended Day Program.

    All summer courses are non-refundable and non-transferable. No refunds will be given for days absent. No exceptions will be made to this policy unless a written physician statement is received, and the student is no longer able to participate due to injury or illness. Please see the COVID waiver and guidelines for COVID-specific situations.

    We reserve the right to modify, change, or cancel programs. Note that this catalog may undergo updates prior to the start of Summer Programs 2021. Please check our website for the most up-to-date version and programs that have filled or have a waitlist.

    Canterbury School reserves the right to use any photos taken during Summer Programs for advertising and/or institutional purposes.

    Programs are subject to cancellation if the minimum number registered is not met by Friday, May 7, for June scheduled programs and by Friday, June 4, for July scheduled programs.
