Sixteen Canterbury School seniors signed National Letters of Intent to play collegiate athletics at the school of their choice on Friday, April 30, 2021.
Family, friends, coaches, faculty, staff, and members of the Class of 2021 attended the special event. Athletic Director Frank Turco first addressed the student-athletes, “Congratulations to this group, the most student-athletes ever in one year at Canterbury to sign to play at the next level.” He noted a few other historic accomplishments that included our Varsity Girls Soccer team becoming the first regional final winner and state runner-up in the school’s history. Also, our Varsity Boys Lacrosse team has made it further than any other team as they head to the regional championship. This year our Varsity Boys Soccer team added to Canterbury’s history books with a second state title for our boys’ soccer program. Jessica Edwards continues to add to her hall of fame career in cross country and track, becoming one of the most decorated student-athletes in the state. Finally, Dominic Camarca is the first football player in Canterbury history to sign to play with a Division I school.
Congratulations to all for your hard work and dedication!
