Artist Spotlight: Pre-K3

The Canterbury Arts Department would like to shine a light on our youngest music makers, our Pre-K3 classes.
Pre-K3 students learn about music in ways that correspond with their classroom activities. During their unit on shapes, students played sound shape drums and learned how to hold a mallet.

"I love to see how their curiosity and creativity takes shape with each class time we have with each other," said Lower School music teacher Ms. Truesdale.

In addition to trying each drum shape, students also created their own rhythms and movements to various styles of music.

Don’t you wish you were in Pre-K3?
