Ari M. ’28 Earns Outstanding Delegate at Inaugural PantherMUNC

On Saturday, December 6, Cypress Lake High School hosted its inaugural PantherMUNC competition, welcoming dozens of delegates from several local high schools to compete across four different committees. Because several other school events were scheduled that day, Canterbury’s Model United Nations team was only able to send one delegate to the conference, but he represented our school exceptionally well.

Ari M. ’28 stepped into the role of Lily from the television sitcom Modern Family in a themed crisis committee where students portrayed characters from popular television series. The storyline placed the characters in a wilderness setting, and delegates were challenged to navigate blizzards and other complex scenarios by developing creative, collaborative solutions.

Through thoughtful debate, strong communication, and quick problem-solving, Ari distinguished himself among a competitive field. For his performance, he received the Outstanding Delegate award, a recognition of both his individual preparation and the strength of Canterbury’s MUN program.

Congratulations to Ari on this impressive achievement!
