Canterbury School Community Donates Over 4,000 Books in Successful “Believe N’ Books” Drive

Canterbury School’s annual “Believe N’ Books” Drive reached new heights this year, collecting a record-breaking 4,295 books through the extraordinary efforts of students, faculty, and families.

Founded by alumna Natasha A. ’25, the initiative has continued to grow each year, and this milestone collection has now helped push the organization’s six-year total to an incredible 250,000 books. What began as a student-driven idea has evolved into a powerful tradition of service, making a lasting impact across the community.

At the heart of this year’s success was the leadership and dedication of Canterbury students. From organizing and counting donations after school to sorting, lifting, and boxing thousands of books, students took full ownership of the project. Their initiative and teamwork exemplified the school’s commitment to service and leadership in action.

The impact of the drive will be felt both locally and beyond. More than 650 brand-new books will be donated to Golisano Children’s Hospital, providing comfort and joy to young patients and their families during challenging times.

This year’s drive also represents a meaningful full-circle moment. A single book from Canterbury’s collection will be selected as the organization’s 250,000th donation and presented this summer to a student at the Guadalupe Center. Notably, the very first book collected during the inaugural drive was also donated to a Guadalupe student, making this milestone especially significant.

In addition, Mrs. Bowling’s Advisory was recognized for an outstanding contribution of 600 books, earning a celebratory Chick-fil-A lunch party for their generosity and teamwork.

Canterbury School extends its sincere gratitude to the entire community for supporting this impactful initiative and empowering students to lead with purpose.
