First Graders Become Published Authors Through StoryJumper

Canterbury’s first-grade students are officially published authors!

Thanks to a generous donation, students had the opportunity to create their own marine-life books using StoryJumper with Ms. Stephenson in Technology class. Over the course of a month, students researched facts about marine animals, selected and created beautiful images, and organized their stories from beginning to end.

The project gave students a meaningful way to combine research, writing, creativity, and technology skills while bringing their marine life stories to life. From learning interesting facts to designing pages and building their books, the first graders took great pride in each step of the publishing process.

We are so proud of our young authors for their hard work, imagination, and growing confidence as digital creators!
