Fourth-Grade Students Cap Off the Year with Lego Robotics Challenge

Before the school year came to a close, fourth-grade students in STEM class with Ms. Stephenson and Mrs. Einstein teamed up for a meaningful Lego Robotics challenge focused on a real-world problem: helping polar bears survive the effects of global warming.

After researching the challenges polar bears face as Arctic ice melts and food becomes harder to find, students brainstormed possible solutions and sketched their ideas before beginning the design process. Over several weeks, they built, coded, tested, and refined their projects using Lego Robotics.

Their final presentations showcased thoughtful problem-solving and impressive creativity. Students developed projects ranging from awareness campaigns and interactive educational displays to human-made floating icebergs designed to create new habitats for polar bears.

It was an inspiring way to wrap up the year in STEM, and we were impressed by the ingenuity, teamwork, and perseverance demonstrated by these young engineers.
