From Classroom to Café: Eighth Graders Experience French Culture Firsthand

Students in Mademoiselle Holbein’s eighth-grade French class recently stepped out of the classroom and into a real-world language experience with a visit to Lily Paris Bakery.

During the trip, students embraced “la vie française” as they ordered authentic French foods in French, practiced conversational skills, and explored the flavors and atmosphere of a traditional French café. From pastries to savory bites, the outing provided a delicious and interactive way to reinforce classroom learning.

The experience allowed students to build confidence in their language abilities while gaining a deeper appreciation for French culture and cuisine. By engaging directly with their surroundings, students were able to see - and taste - how language connects to everyday life.

It was a memorable and enriching day that truly brought French studies to life!
