Sanibel Sea School Brings Ocean Exploration to Lower School Classrooms

Our Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and Kindergarten students recently enjoyed a hands-on visit from Sanibel Sea School, turning their classrooms into exciting hubs of marine discovery.

Students learned how to identify different types of shells, explored what makes a safe and comfortable home for small sea creatures, and discussed how animals survive and thrive in their natural environments. Through interactive discussion and observation, students were encouraged to ask questions, make predictions, and connect their learning to the world around them.

The highlight of the visit was meeting live hermit crabs, which students were able to gently touch and observe up close. The experience sparked curiosity, excitement, and plenty of smiles as students connected classroom learning with real-life marine life.

We are grateful to Sanibel Sea School for providing such an engaging and memorable educational experience. Visits like these help inspire our youngest Cougars to become confident learners, explorers, and stewards of the natural world.
