Veterans Day Assembly

We are proud to welcome Captain Antonio Saldana, Canterbury Class of 2000. Captain Antonio Saldana began his career in 2007 as a satellite operator with the 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Benning, Georgia. During this time he deployed to Afghanistan in 2009 and 2010. In 2012 Captain Saldana completed Officer Candidate School (OCS) at Fort Benning and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Transportation Corps.

Upon completion of the Transportation Basic Officer Leadership Course (BOLC), he was assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vicenza, Italy. In 2016 he left Italy to attend the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course at Fort Lee, Virginia.  

His military decorations include the Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Achievement Medal (two OLC), the Joint Service Achievement Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal (one OLC). Captain Saldana is a recipient of the Transportation Corps Order of Saint Christopher award.

Captain Antonio Saldana is currently a full-time student in a fellowship called the Eisenhower Leader Development Program. He is completing an accelerated master’s program at Columbia University in New York City and then will begin working at West Point as a faculty member the following year. We are so excited to welcome Captain Antonio Saldana back to Canterbury to share his story with us. 

We would like to invite any Canterbury family members or friends who are Veterans or active-duty members of the United States Military to attend this special event.
