Congratulations to our student-athletes for their incredible performance at 2019 Florida High School Track & Field State Championships on Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4.
Below are some of the highlights of their hard work:
Our Girls 4x800 team consisting of Michelle B. ’23, Giana D. ’25, Bailey W. ’20, and Jessica E. ’21 took fifth place with a time of 9:56. They set a new school record, took the podium, and received state medals.
Our Boys 4x800 team consisting of Tyler M. ’19, Patrick H. ’20, Zach L. ’20, and Andrew M. ’20 placed 11th in a time of 11:34 and set a new school record.
Jessica E. ’21 won the state title in the 800m with a time of 2:08.4. It is a new school record, #1 state time, #7 in the country, and second in FHSAA meet history. Jessica also won the state title in the 1600m with a time of 5:06.78.
Boys 4x400 consisting of Tyler M. ’19, Bryson R. ’19, Konner B. ’23, and Patrick H. ’20 placed eighth overall and set a new school record. They made the podium and received state medals.
