The Artist Spotlight: Junior Thespian Troupe 89393

The Canterbury School Arts Department would like to shine the spotlight on our Junior Thespian Troupe 89393. The group competed in the District Competition on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Estero High School.
“These amazing students in sixth through eighth grade auditioned for a spot back in September and have worked very hard before and after school to prepare for this,” shared Mr. Aaron Jackson. “Our students scored 26 Superior, five Excellent, and two Good awards, not to mention four Best in Room, and one Critics’ Choice award. We couldn’t be more proud of each and every one of them.”

The following took home the top awards:

Michaela F. ’24 - Best in Room - Monologue 
Arianna A. ’24 & Ellie A. ’24 - Best in Room - Duet Acting
Amaya E. ’24 - Best in Room - Publicity Design
Ellie M. ’25 - Best in Room & Critics’ Choice - Publicity Design

Canterbury will send 12 of the students to compete at the state level in February.
