Canterbury Students Excel at Regional Science Fair

Canterbury School would like to congratulate our students on another amazing performance at the 2020 Thomas Alva Edison Kiwanis Regional Science and Engineering Fair on January 18, 2020.

In the words of Canterbury’s Science Department Chair, Cara Summit, “Canterbury stole the show, winning Best of Fair in both the Junior and Senior Division!” There are six Grand Awards given in total out of hundreds of projects that compete at the regional level and Canterbury won four of them! Our students took home close to 50 different awards in all!

To top it all off, this year Canterbury School took home The Edison Cup for the second year in a row! The award recognizes our school and our students’ accomplishments in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) endeavors. Points toward The Edison Cup are earned and tracked throughout the year based on participation and performance at Thomas A. Edison Regional Science and Inventors Fairs (TAERSIF) affiliated STEM competitions.
