Canterbury Wins Second in MATHCOUNTS Competition

Congratulations to our students for winning second place in the 2020 MATHCOUNTS Competition for the Calusa Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society. The event was held at Dunbar High School on February 22.
The team of Aaron Z. ’24, Aaron S. ’24, Tanish P. ’24, and Jacob A. ’24 placed second out of nineteen teams. Aaron Z. ’24, Tanish P. ’24, and Dusty D. ’25 also placed in the top ten individuals. The following students will compete at the state competition in Jacksonville on March 20.

Ben V. ’24, Shanika F. ’24, and Jason N. ’24 also took part in the individual competition. This year’s Calusa chapter competition includes 19 public and private schools from Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades counties. Special thanks to Mr. Tommy Jewell for serving as the coach for our MATHCOUNTS team.
