Spanish Academic Team Wins Second Place
Congratulations to our Spanish Academic Team on winning second place in their division at the Florida State Spanish Conference! The event took place on March 5-7, 2020, in Orlando.
In total, our team had 13 Outstanding Awards and two Superiors in the Impromptu Speech category. The dramatic presentation earned a perfect score and the top award. In Declamation, all six students earned first place in their division and three of them had perfect scores for their poems.
“It is a very tough competition filled with native and heritage speakers. I am extremely proud of their performance,” shared Dr. Demi Diaz, advisor for the Spanish Academic Team.
