Students Inducted into Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica

Sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica recognizes “high achievement in Spanish or Portuguese and promotes the continuity of interest in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian studies.”
On March 2, 2020, nine Canterbury students became the newest members of this society. The second oldest honor society on campus, this year’s induction marks the 30th class of new members! For induction, students must be a sophomore or higher and maintain an average of 90 percent for three consecutive semesters in advanced Spanish classes. They are also required to have a Spanish teacher’s endorsement.
