Canterbury Students Enter NPR Student Podcast Challenge

In a first for Canterbury, a group of our Upper School students proudly participated in this year’s NPR Student Podcast Challenge.
Students in Mr. Torres’ Video and Technical Production class, Chase A. ’23, Michelle B. ’23, Jake Z. ’23, William M. ’23, and Alden G. ’23, produced and edited the piece all while working remotely this semester. The music was even produced remotely by Mr. Castillo’s music students. CLICK HERE to listen to the podcast.

Judging is taking place in late May to early June, and sometime in June, NPR will announce the two overall winners. Their podcasts will be featured in segments on Morning Edition or All Things Considered.

We would also like to share with our Canterbury community a CougarVision podcast interview with LIFT Speaker, Professor Carol Anderson, that took place before our campus was closed. This segment was produced by both our Middle and Upper School students in Video and Technical Production as well as Multimedia Journalism.
