Students Inducted into Rho Kappa History Honor Society

On Wednesday, May 27, 2020, Canterbury’s Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society inducted 15 students into its program through a virtual ceremony.
Dr. Ronald Young and Mr. Ian Cross, along with other members of Canterbury’s Social Sciences Department, presided over the induction while current members conducted a “modified” candle-lighting ceremony. The ceremony concluded with a poem read by Mrs. Paula Sizemore titled The End and the Beginning by Wislawa Szymborska.

Requirements for membership in Rho Kappa include junior or senior standing, a minimum of 3.5-grade point average, at least one year-long social sciences elective course, and a combined minimum of two years participation in History Fair, Model United Nations, Mock Trial, or Euro Challenge.
