Character Rock Garden is a Hit!

After the amazing success of our Sensory Path, the School Counseling team has devised a new collaborative art project with our students. Throughout the first half of September, our Lower School students each had the opportunity to contribute to our Character Rock Garden. Located between the Sensory Path and the planter boxes outside of the Lower School, this beautiful new spot on campus is a great reminder of how unique our students are.
Each student had a natural rock they could then decorate in their own style with paint with splatters, swirls, dots, or designs. The rocks had to include their name and a personal character trait they like about themselves. Visual Arts teacher Ms. Namita Singh explained, “The students had a great time painting and thinking about important qualities and unique character traits that we all strive to achieve.” We love that this project encouraged students to think positively about themselves!

This video highlights a few of the students: Willow H. ‘30, Walker S. ‘30, Jane P. ‘30, Mikaela W. ‘30, and Amelia S. ‘30. They are asked to explain what they loved about the project while holding their final products.
