Athlete of the Week - November 9 - 15, 2020

At the state meet in Tallahassee, Hayden ran a gutsy race to help our Varsity Girls Cross Country team to a top 10 finish. “Her time of 20:55 was her second-fastest time of the season. But her performance on this challenging state course was undoubtedly the best in her two years on the team. She came through the first mile in 6:06 and held strong as she approached the infamous ‘wall’ at Apalachee Regional Park. Her next two miles were solid as she ran the double-looped course back to the wall and outkicked a Lakeland Christian runner to the finish,” shared Coach Charlotte Edwards. Great job, Hayden!
