Canterbury Participates in Art in the Gardens Exhibit

Canterbury School is proud to participate in the Art in the Gardens exhibit at the Edison and Ford Winter Estates.
The exhibit features creative artwork made largely from recycled materials by local students. This year, student work will be displayed on wooden tarpon fish “swimming” along the fenceline.

Mrs. Hoefling’s fifth-grade class participated in creating the collaborative art piece for Canterbury. It features alcohol inks on photographic paper with wooden sticks to create a musical element. “It was challenging to create something that needed to weather the outside conditions, but our students had a blast doing it, especially exploring alcohol inks,” shared Mrs. Hoefling.

The free community art event is open to the public starting May 1 and runs through May 30.
