A Future Librarian

On May 7, 2021, Dylan L. ’30 had the opportunity to be a Librarian for a Day with Mrs. Kilfoyle!
Dylan and Mrs. Kilfoyle started off their morning by scanning books. They took a small break to watch the Volcano Day activity Mr. Summit hosted in the courtyard for his sixth-grade science students. Then, Dylan helped empty the Middle School book collection boxes and helped process them back into the library system. He had the chance to read a children’s who-dunnit book to the Pre-K4 students and help them select books to bring home for the weekend. For lunch, Dylan and a friend enjoyed some Blue Moon pizza.

“Dylan is a very conscientious student and worker,” shared Mrs. Kilfoyle. “You can tell he loves books and took his job today seriously. I would love to have him work in the library with me every day!” It is clear we have a future librarian in our midst!

Dylan’s parents successfully bid on this great experience during our silent auction at a past Extravaganza. If your child loves reading, books, and learning, we encourage you to consider signing up for this opportunity at our next Extravaganza event!
