The Artist Spotlight: Maddie C. ’23
The Canterbury Arts Department would like to shine a spotlight on Maddie C. ’23!
Maddie C. is a talented artist who has been building an impressive portfolio including the pieces featured here, all of which she created this semester in Mr. Grey’s Drawing and Collage classes. This winter, Maddie received a juror’s choice award at a recent Lee Art Educator Association high school art competition which was held at the Alliance for the Arts.
Mr. Grey commented, “Maddie is an intuitive artist. I’m proud that she is beginning to step a bit more out of her comfort zone as an artist. She’s thoughtful, focused, and creative, and I look forward to working with her next school year when she takes Advanced Placement Art and Design.”
