21 Students Join the Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society

On Monday, May 17, 2021, Canterbury’s Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society inducted 21 students into its program.
Dr. Ronald Young and Mr. Ian Cross, along with other members of Canterbury’s Social Sciences Department, presided over the induction while current members conducted the candle-lighting ceremony. The ceremony concluded with a poem read by Mrs. Paula Sizemore titled A Litany for Survival by Audre Lorde.
 
Requirements for membership in Rho Kappa include junior or senior standing, a minimum of 3.5-grade point average, at least one year-long social sciences elective course, and a combined minimum of two years of participation in History Fair, Model United Nations, Mock Trial, or Euro Challenge.
