On Thursday, May 27, 2021, students from the Class of 2025, along with their parents and members of Canterbury’s faculty gathered in the Murphy Sports Center to celebrate the accomplishments of those preparing to leave the Middle School.
Students were welcomed by the Head of Middle School Sharon Laconi before receiving a message from Head of School Rick Kirschner thanking all who made this year possible. Natasha A. ’25 then addressed her fellow classmates noting the memories and relationships made throughout their middle school years.
Head of Upper School Carl Melamet followed with a message welcoming the students into the Upper School as rising freshmen.
Awards were presented for academics, athletics, service, and leadership. A complete list can be found below. Advisors for the 61 eighth-graders then shared special memories and favorite quotes of each student before awarding them their Certificates of Promotion.
