Thank You for a Record-Breaking Extravaganza!

Extravaganza 2021 Florida at its Finest, presented by Busey Bank on Saturday, November 6, 2021, was the most successful fundraiser in our school’s history! With the support of Linda and David Lucas through The Lucas Match, the event raised more than $1.2 million for Canterbury School!
The skies cleared to offer a truly beautiful evening for the more than 300 guests who gathered on Mason Goss ’86 Field. Our Cougar Calypso band entertained our guests before everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner. The excitement continued as NBC2 news anchor and Canterbury parent, Kellie Burns-Garvey, joined together with auctioneer Jay Severson to share our phenomenal live auction packages that included everything from amazing trips and adventures to special dinners and experiences. For the grand finale, the crowd raised their paddles for our Grant A Wish project, which will provide sun shades, new seating, as well as other improvements for the LSJ Courtyard and the Rubenstein Upper School Courtyard. Thank you to everyone for their support of this long-standing Canterbury School tradition, with special thanks going out to our event chair, Susan Chicone ’99, and vice-chair, Lauren Casey, as well as our fantastic volunteers. View a full photo gallery of all of the “Florida at its Finest” fun.
