Upper School LIFT Leadership Students Visit Collaboratory

On Thursday, January 6, our Upper School LIFT leadership students had the opportunity to visit the Collaboratory, learn about its bold mission, and how they, too, can be a catalyst for change in our community.
The Collaboratory, formerly known as the Southwest Florida Community Foundation, has taken on a bold mission of solving every social challenge in our region in eighteen years. They recognize that together is the only way they will be able to solve any of the problems.

Our Upper School LIFT leadership students had the opportunity to learn about the social challenges that plague our community, and given a seat at the table to brainstorm how they and their fellow peers can be a catalyst for change in our surrounding communities.

Collaboration is the key. Together, these young men and women can collectively use their thoughts to be a vehicle for change and impact. Steve Jobs once said, "The people who are crazy enough to change the world are the ones who do.”

Here at Canterbury, we look forward to the change these young leaders will bring to campus and the world around them.
