Athlete of the Week: January 24-30, 2022
Congratulations to varsity girls soccer player Kali Y. '26 on being selected as our Athlete of the Week for the week of January 24-30, 2022.
Kali has been instrumental in the Cougars post-season run, scoring all four goals in the district tournament. The eighth-grade forward recorded a hat trick against Southwest Florida Christian Academy and scored the only goal against top seed Imagine School of North Port to propel Canterbury into the district finals against Evangelical Christian School.
"Kali has been a scoring machine for us over the past several weeks," said head coach Paolo Acosta. "She is one of the reasons we are vying for a district championship."
The Cougars amazing, post-season run came to an end on Thursday night as the Cougars fell to ECS 7-0 in the district championship.
