Spanish Academic Team Outshines Competition
Congratulations to our Spanish Academic Team for its superior finishes at the recent Florida State Spanish Conference in Orlando.
The Spanish Academic Team, consisting of more than 15 Upper School students, competed in Impromptu Speech, Poem Recitation, Play Competition, and Essay Writing at the state competition on March 10-12, 2022.
Sobresaliente is the highest mark a student can receive, followed by superior. In total, the team brought home 19 'Sobresaliente' marks and notched three senior essay winners, with only eight winners in the entire state!
“It is a very tough competition filled with native and heritage speakers. I am extremely proud of their performance,” shared Grisell Abad, advisor for the Spanish Academic Team.
