Canterbury's Marathon Raises More Than $18,000 for Local Charities

On Friday, March 18, 2022, Canterbury School students, faculty, and staff showcased their commitment to service during a special check presentation for their 38th Annual Marathon.
Marathon is a Canterbury tradition in which students run and walk to raise money for worthy causes. Canterbury selected The Heights Foundation and American Heart Association to receive funds from the annual event. We are thankful to these organizations for working with us to educate our students about the great work they do in our community. The presentation by the American Heart Association about the importance of heart health and fitness tied in well with our focus on wellness. Our students also enjoyed learning about how the money they raised for The Heights Foundation will make a difference in the lives of other local children.

On Wednesday, January 26, and Friday, January 28, students in the Lower School headed out to our tracks and racked up dozens of laps. Through their efforts, we are proud to announce that the Canterbury community raised a total of $18,476! Each charity will receive a donation of $9,238.

Canterbury School would like to send a special thank you to Canterbury parents and volunteers for weathering the cold and tallying all the laps.
