Ten Seniors Inducted into Cum Laude Society

On Monday, March 21, 2022, ten Canterbury seniors were inducted into the Canterbury Chapter of the Cum Laude Society. Founded in 1906, the Cum Laude Society is dedicated to honoring scholastic achievement in secondary schools. 
Head of Upper School Carl Melamet opened the ceremony, welcoming the students and their families before introducing Head of School Rick Kirschner as the keynote speaker. Mr. Melamet and Mr. Ian Cross then recognized the following students, officially inducting them into the 2022 Cum Laude Society:

The ceremony closed with a reading of Ithaka by C.P. Cavafy. Dr. Ron Young and Dr. Mary Smith read the poem in both Spanish and English.
