Athlete of the Week: March 28-April 3, 2022
Congratulations to varsity baseball pitcher Jack G. '23 on being selected as our Athlete of the Week for the week of March 28- April 3, 2022.
The junior right-hander was lights out on the mound for the Cougars at the IMG Baseball Tournament a week ago, throwing a one-hit shutout against Venice High School to lead Canterbury into the championship game against IMG Academy.
"Jack threw a gem against Venice," said head baseball coach Frank Turco. " He showed amazing composure and came up big for us against a very good Venice squad."
Jack helped the Cougars avenge a loss to Venice earlier in the season. He struck out five in the complete-game shutout.
