Eighth Grade Students Honored

On Thursday, May 26, 2022, students from the Class of 2026, along with their parents and members of Canterbury’s faculty gathered in the Murphy Sports Center to celebrate the accomplishments of those preparing to leave the Middle School.
Students were welcomed by the Head of Middle School Sharon Laconi before receiving a special message from Head of School Rick Kirschner. Sofia V. ’26 then addressed her fellow classmates noting the memories and relationships made throughout their middle school years.

Awards were presented for academics, athletics, service, and leadership. A complete list can be found below. Advisors for the 78 eighth-graders then shared special memories and favorite quotes of each student before awarding them their Certificates of Promotion. To close the ceremony, the students heard a final message from Mrs. Laconi. Click here to view the full photo gallery.
