Athlete of the Week: August 23-28, 2022
Congratulations to Varsity Football player Leroy R. '24 on being selected as our Athlete of the Week for the week of August 23-28, 2022.
The junior, two-way player is a dominant force for our Cougars, lining up at running back and defensive back. In limited playing time in the season opener at Marco Island Academy last Friday, Leroy led all scorers with four touchdowns on four carriers to put Canterbury up 28-0 in the early going. Our Cougars went on to defeat Marco Island 49-0.
"Leroy is an integral piece to our success as a team this year," said head coach Stacy Sizemore. "We're looking forward to what's to come for him this season."
