Athlete of the Week: September 5-11, 2022
Congratulations to cross country runner Gabby S. '23 on being selected as our Athlete of the Week for the week of September 5-11, 2022.
The senior cross country runner has a raced to a Top 10 finish in each of her regular-season meets this season. Last Saturday evening, Gabby finished eighth out of 198 runners under the lights at the Fort Myers Invitational, clocking a time of 20:19..
"Gabby's dedication and hard work over the summer months is evident when she stands on the podium each week," said varsity cross country coach Charlotte Edwards.
Gabby currently ranks second in the district for varsity female runners. She and the Cougar cross country team will be back to the races on Saturday, September 17 as they travel to North Port for the North Port XC Invitational.
