XC Teams Qualify for State Championships
The Canterbury boys and girls varsity cross country teams punched their tickets to the FHSAA Cross Country State Championships after running to Top 8 team finishes at the 1A Region 3 races on Thursday, October 27 in Lakeland.
Senior runner Gabby S. led all Cougars finishing 5th overall, in a pack of over 100 runners, with a time of 19:56. Other notable finishes include: Hayden B. '23 (21st), Charlie M. '23 (30th), and Travis H. '25 (36th).
The Cougar cross country teams now turn their attention to the state championships on Saturday, November 5 at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee. The 1A girls race will take off at 7:50 a.m., followed by the 1A boys race at approximately 8:40 a.m.

The Canterbury cross country teams made it to regionals by way of qualifying at the district level. Gabby S. '23 found herself on the podium with a second place finish. Three other Canterbury runners finished in the Top 20: Hayden B. '23 (15th), Charlie M. '23 (15th), and Travis H. '25 (18th).
