Athlete of the Week: December 26, 2022- January 1, 2023
Congratulations to Conor T. '23 on being selected as our Athlete of the Week for the week of December 26, 2022- January 1, 2023.
While most were relaxing and enjoying the last week of 2022, Conor and the Canterbury boys soccer team traveled to Orlando for the Mike Stone Soccer Invitational. The senior center back and team captain helped lead the Cougars to a runner-up finish, only conceding one goal (penalty kick) in three games. In return, Conor was named defensive player of the tournament for his efforts.
"Conor's leadership and commitment to a high standard elevates the level of play for his teammates," said head coach Jared Rust. "The team continues to improve every game. We are beginning to play our best soccer of the season thanks in large part to Conor's leadership on and off the field."
Conor also contributed to the attack, recording one goal and an assist during the tournament.
The boys soccer team is back in action on Friday, January 6, as the Cougars host Columbus High School at 6 p.m.
