Junior Thespians Shine at State Competition

Canterbury Troupe 89393 had a strong showing at the recent Junior Thespian State Competition in Orlando, January 12-14, 2023.
The Cougar junior thespians represented Canterbury in seven different categories, including: duet acting, duet musical, ensemble, monologue, scene writing, set design, and small group musical. Of the ten pieces brought to the state competition, six received 'Superior' marks, the highest mark a junior thespian can receive. Also, Carlie M. '28 was awarded 'Best in Room' for her monologue Todd-Monologue Show From Hell.

"We are very proud of the troupe and how they performed," said middle school theatre teacher Mr. Lynch. "It was a great weekend for them learning and growing as performers, while workshopping with professionals in the industry."

Below are official results from all pieces brought to states. Congratulations to all our junior thespians on a job well done!
