Athlete of the Week: March 20-26, 2023
Congratulations to track and field athlete Alex C. '23 on being selected as this week's Athlete of the Week for the week of March 20-26, 2023.
The senior javelin thrower reached a new personal best at the Guy Thomas Memorial Classic hosted by Dunbar High School last week. He reached a new personal best with each of his four attempts, finishing the day with a personal-best throw of 51 meters. With that throw, Alex currently ranks first in the district, third in state in the 1A classification.
"We are so proud of Alex and how he has progressed all season," said track and field head coach Charlotte Edwards. "He has been very consistent all season, throwing a farther distance with each meet."
Alex is currently ranked 18th overall for all classifications in the state of Florida!
