Morgan B. '23 Finishes Second in the World at ISEF

Canterbury School is proud to share that Morgan B. '23 won second place in the world at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), May 13-19, in Dallas.
The senior, one of 1,600+ participants representing 64 countries, brought home top honors and a $2,000 cash prize for her science fair project Utilizing Nutrient Enriched Biologically Activated Bioremediation Units as a Soil Amendment in a Cyclic Remediation System (A Novel Fifth Year Study) in the Earth and Environmental Science category.

Morgan qualified for the ISEF by winning first overall in her division at the Thomas Alva Edison Regional Science and Engineering Fair in late February.

The ISEF, founded in 1958, brings together students in ninth through twelfth grades who earned the right to compete by winning a top prize at a local, regional, state or national science fair. The fair is considered to be the most prestigious high school science competition in the world, often called "the Olympics of high school STEM projects."

Congratulations to Morgan on this amazing accomplishment as she closes out her Canterbury career. We look forward to seeing all she will accomplish at Bowdoin College.
