Eighth Grade Students Honored

On Thursday, June 1, 2023, students from the Class of 2027, along with their parents and members of Canterbury’s faculty gathered in the Murphy Sports Center to celebrate the accomplishments of those preparing to leave the Middle School.
Students were welcomed by the Head of Middle School Sharon Laconi before receiving a special message from the Head of School Rick Kirschner. Isabella F. ’27 then addressed her fellow classmates noting the countless memories made, the challenges they have overcome, and the special relationships they have made with their teachers and each other.

Awards were presented for academics, athletics, service, and leadership. A complete list can be found below. Advisors for the 67 eighth-graders then shared special memories and favorite quotes of each student before awarding them their Certificates of Promotion. To close the ceremony, the students heard a final message from Mrs. Laconi. Click here to view the full photo gallery.
