The Artist Spotlight

Evelyn (Qiao) J. '18 is a junior currently taking Advanced Placement Studio Art. Originally from Qingdao, a city from the province of Shandong in China, Evelyn went to the Neumann Goretti Catholic High School in Philadelphia for her freshman year, then transferred to Canterbury School for her sophomore year. As of now, Evelyn plans to study science, psychology and/or neurology as a pre-med student in college.

Visual artists she admires are Can Dağarslani (photographer), David Zinn (illustrator and sidewalk artist), Makoto Shinkai (cinematographer, manga artist and graphic designer). and Miyazaki Hayao (film director, animator, and manga artist).
