Canterbury's Marathon Raises $24,500 for Local Charities

On Tuesday, March 14, 2017, Canterbury School students, faculty, staff, and parents showcased their commitment to service during a special check presentation for their 33rd Annual Marathon. Marathon is a Canterbury tradition in which students run and walk to raise money for worthy causes. Canterbury selected The Heights Foundation and American Heart Association to receive funds from the annual event.
On Friday, January 27, students in all grade levels headed out to our track and racked up dozens of laps. Through their efforts, we are proud to announce that the Canterbury community raised a total of $24,500! Each charity will receive a donation of $12,250.

“We are grateful to both charities for partnering with us for this annual event. It was great for our students to learn about the excellent work each charity does in our community,” says Rick Kirschner, Head of School for Canterbury School.

Canterbury School would like to send a special thank you to Canterbury parents and Marathon Committee Chairs, Stephanie Allione and Yasmile Santana, for their hard work organizing this great event.
