Canterbury Upper School Theatre Presents Arsenic and Old Lace

Canterbury Upper School Theatre will present the classic comedy Arsenic and Old Lace at the Frank Romano Performing Arts Center. The show opens Thursday, November 16, at 7:30 p.m. and continues on Friday and Saturday, November 17 and 18, at 7:30 p.m. As always, this show is free and open to the public.
Written by Joseph Kesselring, Arsenic and Old Lace was an instant hit on Broadway. Audiences were delighted with the antics of the Brewster family, featuring two charming elderly sisters who poison and bury the remains of their socially and religiously "acceptable" boarders in their cellar. There is also a brother who thinks he's Teddy Roosevelt and another who is on the run from the law and looks like Boris Karloff. The popular play was ultimately made into a movie of the same name that also became a classic.

Arsenic and Old Lace is fun for the whole family. The show has the honor of being adjudicated by the Florida State Thespian Society. Professional set, lights, and costumes will give the show a polish and professionalism that honors all the hard work the students have put into the production. Let's pack the PAC and give them the support they deserve!

Again, the show opens Thursday, November 16, at 7:30 p.m. and continues on Friday and Saturday, November 17 and 18, at 7:30 p.m. The show is free and open to the public.
