Science Night 2017 a Spectacular Success!

Canterbury School would like to recognize everyone who participated and made Science Night 2017 a spectacular success! The event was held at Canterbury’s Murphy Sports Center on November 30, 2017.
“It was a great night with a wonderful showing of incredible research projects, 154 to be exact,  as well as inventions, and fun demonstrations choreographed by our Upper School Science Honors Society students, Debbie Blue, and Canterbury’s Astronomical Society,” shares Canterbury Science Department Chair Cara Summit.

We are also grateful to Canterbury alumnus, Dr. Arie Dosoretz ’00, for sharing his story as our keynote speaker. Dr. Dosoretz is also a proud Canterbury Lifer. After attending medical school at the University of Pennsylvania and completing his specialty training in radiation oncology at Yale University, Dr. Dosoretz returned to his hometown of Fort Myers and joined 21st Century Oncology’s regional network in Lee County. During his speech, he commented on the quality of the projects. “I am blown away by the level of detail and some of the ideas that you have been following.
