Canterbury Students Excel in Odyssey of the Mind Tournament

Congratulations to our two Odyssey of the Mind teams for their performance in the 2018 Sun Region Tournament on Saturday, February 24, at South Fort Myers High School. Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college.
Canterbury had two groups of second-graders participate in the tournament, Canterbury Red, and Canterbury Orange. “We are so proud of these students and their hard work. From creating props to writing a script, they did everything on their own for their performance,” shared Mrs. Ernst, Canterbury’s Lower School Director.

Both teams were selected to compete in the state tournament. Only the Canterbury Red team has decided to move forward. The Florida State Tournament will be held Saturday, April 14, at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

Thank you to the two teams for sharing their performances with our Lower School community during a recent assembly. Also, special thanks to our parent volunteers who spent many hours helping our students prepare for the tournament.
